Protocol Design is in Our DNA
From the RUDP protocol published in IEEE in 2004, to the PAP Protocol submitted to arXiv today. 20+ years of designing protocols, building SDKs and creating open source ecosystems.
20+ Years of Protocol Engineering
RUDP (Reliable UDP)
IEEE publication: Pedagogically Enhanced Video-on-Demand Based Learning System. Reliable UDP protocol for VoD streaming.
GitHub: ckaraca/VOD →VT GSLBaaS Health Check Protocol
Custom health check protocol for Turkey's first native GSLB service. 7 routing algorithms, DNS-based.
PAP (Plugged.in Agent Protocol)
Agent lifecycle management for autonomous AI agents. Dual-profile: PAP-CP (gRPC/mTLS) + PAP-Hooks (JSON-RPC/OAuth).
GitHub →Kintsugi
AI-native content annotation framework. Defining human/AI editing permissions with structured comments.
GitHub →CogMem-AI
TÜBİTAK 1501 R&D: Dual-process cognitive memory architecture for AI agents. 2 SCI papers + 1 patent target.
Our Protocols
PAP Protocol
AI agents operate autonomously but their lifecycle is not standardized.
Open protocol covering discovery, authorization, execution and termination.
Kintsugi
AI code editors don't know which file sections can be modified by AI.
Defining content permissions within files using structured comments.
Japanese kintsugi — the art of repairing broken pottery with gold.
VT GSLBaaS Protocol
Standard DNS Round Robin doesn't know actual health status.
GSLB service supporting 7 routing algorithms with custom health check protocol.
RUDP (Academic Root)
TCP overhead too much for video streaming, plain UDP unreliable.
Transport protocol providing reliable delivery in low BER networks.
IEEE publication — D.Z. Deniz & C. Karaca, Eastern Mediterranean University, 2004
CogMem-AI
LLM agent memory systems are one-dimensional — no importance or category distinction.
Cognitive memory architecture based on Kahneman's dual-process theory.
SDK Ecosystem
| SDK | Language | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| plugged.in JS SDK | TypeScript/JavaScript | plugged.in platform integration, Claude Code plugin |
| plugged.in Python SDK | Python | vLLM, LangChain, notebook integration |
| plugged.in Go SDK | Go | High-performance agent services |
| cogmem-ai | TypeScript | Cognitive memory library (TÜBİTAK R&D output, planned) |
Open Source Isn't Marketing for Us — It's an Engineering Decision
plugged.in is MIT because AI infrastructure should work without vendor lock-in. PAP is Apache 2.0 because protocols should be open. Kintsugi is open source because an annotation standard can't belong to one company. Every project's license is an engineering decision.
